Lahore by Metro is a photography book that tells the story of real Pakistanis traveling in the Lahore Metro Bus. Over the course of 5 years, I talked to thousands of fellow passengers in the bus. Now publishing 244 of the extraordinary stories of hopes and dreams along with powerful portraits.
Back in 2013, I moved to Lahore, the second largest city in Pakistan. I grew up in a small town so this was my first time living in a city as big as Lahore. Naturally, observing people became an obsession along with other thrills of metropolitan life. I used the Metro Bus for my daily commute and soon found myself talking to fellow passengers. These conversations resulted in the discovery of deeply moving stories and also started taking pictures with my mobile camera.
